A detailed assessment
An assessment of the child's overall development, conducted personally by me.
A two-hour consultation that I conduct personally — with preparation based on your materials, observation of the child in real time, and a written plan within seven working days. This is the first step for every child at the center.
Request a consultation →The individual consultation is appropriate when you have a specific concern about your child’s development and are looking for a clear direction for the next steps. If at least one of these situations is familiar to you, this is the right moment:
The child speaks little, cannot express themselves clearly, or does not respond when called.
The child has strong emotional reactions — tantrums, refusals, difficulties with transitions.
The child is constantly in motion and struggles to hold their attention on a single activity.
The child accepts a limited range of foods or experiences strong discomfort with certain clothes and textures.
Haircuts, nail trimming, or appointments with specialists are associated with stress.
The child struggles to acquire new self-care skills.
The child has difficulties with gross motor skills — balance, coordination, stability in movement.
The child has difficulties with fine motor skills — grasping objects, handling toys, using utensils.
An assessment of the child's overall development, conducted personally by me.
For every child at the center — before any therapy begins.
What we observe, what the current priorities are, and the best next move.
Not a substitute for therapy, but the foundation on which every next step is built — at home, in kindergarten, or at the center.
Who conducts it
The individual consultation at the center is always led by me — Iva Petkova. This is a deliberate choice. With nearly ten years of practice with children aged 0 to 7 and their parents, I am the specialist with the broadest training in the team for assessing a child's overall development and drawing up an individual plan.
After the consultation, if therapy is deemed necessary, I refer the case to the appropriate therapist from the team — with the same structure, the same plan, and the same logic that we discussed together.
The structure of the consultation is always the same. Nothing happens on intuition; every stage has a specific purpose and outcome.
You receive from me two preparatory documents to complete: an anamnestic questionnaire about the child's overall development and a sensory profile. I review them carefully before the meeting so that I arrive prepared with a specific focus and questions tailored to your case.
The meeting proceeds in three consecutive parts:
Within seven working days you receive a written summary and plan:
A detailed review of the child's overall development.
How the child perceives and processes sensations.
With short-term and long-term goals for the work.
Concrete steps you can apply right away.
When needed, without unnecessary wandering.
Which you can share with other specialists.
Which path is right we discuss together — depending on what we discover during the meeting.
I refer the case to the appropriate therapist from the team — occupational therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), or speech therapy. When our schedule or capacity does not allow it, I refer to trusted colleagues outside the center.
Sometimes the best thing for the child is work outside our center — a medical examination, psychological support, or a specific specialization. In such cases you receive a concrete recommendation.
A clear direction and one or two follow-up meetings are sometimes enough. If you wish, I also prepare an individual home therapy program tailored to the child and family (an additional service, charged separately).
Five clear steps from the moment you write to us to receiving the written plan. No surprises, no waiting in the dark.

Up to 7 working daysBooking is done through a request, not by directly selecting a time in a calendar. Once I receive your request, I review it personally and contact you within a few working days to discuss the possible steps and arrange a time convenient for both sides.
I work with children aged 0 to 7. The earlier the concern appears, the more useful an early assessment can be — but within this age range there is no age that is too early or too late.
This is entirely normal and often expected. I do not force the process. Observation can also happen through natural play, in moments of regulation, or under mild tension — everything is informative.
Yes. Some families leave the consultation without starting therapy — because they receive guidance for home that is sufficient for them, or because the recommendation is to another specialist.
Yes, in certain cases. For children abroad or in other cities, I conduct online consultations that keep the same structure — preparatory materials, a two-hour meeting, and a written plan afterward.
The individual consultation is a detailed assessment of overall development — communication, behavior, sensory processing, motor skills, independence. The speech consultation is a focused meeting for specific questions related to speech and communication.
The first step is always the same — an individual consultation with me. It's where you'll receive a clear assessment, a concrete plan, and direction on what comes next.
